hey everyone. I want to know if anybody has turbo'd a motor with my set-up or close. I have an ls/vtec with pr3 pistons, stock headgasket and gsr head. Also have a skunk 2 IM, and a skunk 2 programmed p61. i know this motor is high compression, but if it was tuned properly would i be able to boost say 7-10 psi on it? Or should i just swap the blcok out. This motor is already pretty fast tho never been dyno'd. I think some boost would make it a monster. What do you all think? sorry for the long post

 

How high is the compression on the engine now?

 

with proper tuning i would say its ok

 

Tuning is key . With the higher compression you won't have to run as much boost as a motor w/ lower compression to make the same power. Tuning will be a little harder but, well worth it especially, if you think the motor already "pulls" hard.

yea the motor is real stong. According to c-speedracing, My compression ratio is about 11.5:1. I would like to take it to Church automotive if idid turbo the motor. So no one thinks its a really bad idea to turbo the motor with that compression? i just hear different things from friends haha
