Just got my CF hood today. You all got hood pins or not? Do they make a big difference? My **** doesn't line up as well as I'd like it to, so I'm hoping that if I add the pins, it'll line up better. I did a search and didn't see anything relating to hood pins, so I hope this isn't a repost!!
From people that have installed hood pins on their CF hoods, they have all said that the fit is better after installing the pins. What kind of CF hood did you get?

FiberImages - I know I probably should have spent 700-900 on a spoon hood, but money is always short and I scorched my stock one being a dumbass
Unless you have a JDM frontend, spoon doesn't have one for the ITR. I wish they did because I would get one in a heartbeat. I think spoon hoods run from 900-1100 too.
should have gotten a vis CF hood...rolled edges, great fit and craftsmanship....you will love it, cant beat it and it uses factory latches and all, about 500.00 new

I personally HATE hoodpins. They look like **** IMO.
I have a FI CF hood on my EG hybrid and it fits...okay. Not perfect, but it stays shut w/out pins.

i didnt want to drill for pins, but after miles of driving at high speeds, and the hood shaking...i stepped up and installed the pins, im glad i did, its totally more secure now...never skakes anymore

The reason I put hood pins is because the hood looked like it was shaking when I was going over bridges here in the bay. At first I didnt really want to drill through the hood, but it was for safety reasons. I got the Sparco pins, real nice quality.
I've known too many people who's hoods have gotten loose and flipped up under regular driving conditions. Hood pins are a good idea no question about it.
if you don't you'll
yourself down the road.

def. put pins in!
I installed my CF Hood, and I didnt replace the rubber stripping on the top of the hood, and after doing some highspeed canyon runs w/ other socalers I noticed that my hood was popped up. Had I not had the pins on the hood would have flown up.
oh and use the sparco pins!

alright, just picked up my Spearco hood pins - thanks for the suggestions - hopefully it'll make the piece of **** fit better
I don't have the pics anymore, but my frinds CF hood peeled right of the fiberglass frame and busted his windshield AND sunroof, plus damaged the sheetmetal on the roof. Get pins!
