Default A few questions in one con't.

sending out a few questions...hoping to recieve a few answers

1. what is the difference between OBD0 and OBD1. (is it worth the change over)

2. I have a 98 Block (B18B1) and a 89 CRX JDM head. If I was to head to like lordco and purchase parts for this engine...what would be the best cars to tell them i have so that i get the right parts. i understand the block...but we dont carry JDM here so what other car could i tell them

3. Are stock ingectors good enough for an engine that is putting out 240hp at 11.5:1 comp?

4. Were is the best site to find the wiring diagram for this swap into a 89 honda crx. I am going to run the pr3 ecu.

5. If i do change over to OBD1 is the only thing i basically have to change is the resister box (remove it) for the ingectors?

I think thats all I was wondering for this moment.

1. There are a few differences, sensors and what not. The only real reason you would want to do this is for tuning purpose, more companies make more things for obd1 systems, is it worth it, depends but I would say if you have to ask, then its not worth it.

2. What jdm head do you have, I'm guessing the a b16 head ? And what kind of parts are you looking to buy, they usually will have some kind of stamp on it to let you know where and what car the part came from and fits.

3. Need more info on your setup, but I would say bigger injectors will not hurt. But what kind of management are you gonna run ?

4. Look up at the top of the crx board, great sites posted in the faq

5. No, you will need to change a lot more including the ecu and more wiring

Injectors do not have to be changed when you convert to obd1. It's optional. You'll need to rewire the ecu or get a obd 0 to obd1 conversion harness. You'll also need an obd1 ecu, 4 wire o2 sensor and a obd 1 dizzy.

thank you bother very much. as for the setup. its an ls/vtec setup. crower stage 1 cams, type-r valve train, sir bottom end, shot peened rods, balanced (9500rpm fuel cut), comp raised to 11.5:1. then the usual adjustable cams gears and ****. i still need most of the parts. i just put the engine together. i need a tranny (ys1 hopefully with lsd) i need a ecu (pr3) obd0-obd1 harness, would not mind just buying the already made wiring harness (probably wont though), need a dizzy, alternator, starter, fuel rail and injectors. flywheel and clutch.....dear lord im missing alot. anybody have any of this stuff laying around they want to get rid of send me a message or e-mail me at zatzy2@hotmail.com (subject: ls/vtec parts) so that i dont delete it thinking its junkmail. but yeah thats the basics as of right now. $9000 in the engine and another $3 or so to get it in. i need mounts and shift linkage and axles too.
