A breaker bar with a cheater pipe will work. Just make sure you put another pipe in between two lug studs so it doesn't spin. Also, before you put a new captured nut on, put some anti-seize on the threads of the axle, so you won't have such a tough time getting it off again.
Everytime you remove the axle nut, you're SUPPOSED to replace it with a new one.

i used wheel bearing grease instead of anti-seize. The axle nut is torqued to 134 ft.lbs. My axle nut comes off easily with a 1/2" drive 18" breaker bar.

I had to take a torch to mine. I almost burnt the bearing. I broke two crafstman 2/4" drive 32mm with a lsudge and standing on it. I broke them and took them back...gotta love sears.....I took some acetelyne and some o2 and had to brun the ******* off. good luck.
i tried mine by hand, 2 sockets and couple rachets later, i just took the whole spindle into work , 1 lil zip from my air gun at work and it came off...

Use Air gun if it doesn't come off by hand
