i have a 93 del sol and was told it is an si. it has a d16z6 with an auto tranny. and insight on this?? is it an si or was i told wrong??

what motor is in the del sol si then?? i know the del sol vtec has the b16 in it

i thought they didnt use/make those until 96?? the sol is a 93

 

nah iam wrong its a d16z6 then the answer is yes it is an si

 

If your del sol has a d16z6 it is in fact an Si. An easy way to tell if its a factory motor is to look at the red line. If it is at 7200 it is and Si if it is like 6500 its and S. Honda also made a del sol called a VTEC model which had the b16 in it. If you have power windows, mirrors, locks, cruise control and everything else it is def. and Si.
