5hp gain from 98 to 99...
It might have been covered but i cant seem to find it...
What did honda do to the h22 from 1998 to 1999 that gave it 5hp? As far as i know the blocks are the same as well as everything else. Can anyone tell me what the difference is?
Just wondering....

made it up. It was the same year the Accord V6 got 200hp, so you couldn't have the sports coupe underrated.
Case in point, Preludes from Japan with 10.6:1 CR had a rating of 200ps from 1991 all the way till last production in 2001

That's what I thought.
BMW did the same thing. The 323is did not have a 2.3L engine. During the production runs, the 3 Series consisted of 323's, 328's, and M3's. Since the 323 had a 2.5L, they were affraid that the closeness of naming it a 325 and 328 respectively would alter the sales of the 328.
