2005 R6
i sat on one last sunday at the motorcycle show here in seattle. it was very comfortable but i fell in love with the 05 r1.
also a friend of mine mentioned that yamaha are using the same suspension setup they use on the r1 on the new 05 r6. very nice

The 600RR seems much bigger than the R6. Plus no trunk space, a hot *** and rumors of heavy smoke coming off bikes that were broken in properly.
I'm thinking I might want to try my luck with the R6 and their shitty second gears that are hopefully fixed
The lines of the 600RR do flow much better though.

The 600RR looks more like a sharp scalpel. The R6's shape is more organic. I still haven't decided if I like the underseat exhausts, but the R6 would get my vote.

Really? To me, there seems to be a line starting at the nose of the 600RR that extends to the tail. And the R6 has more curved surfaces.

I was splitting my time between my 2004 250 ninja and my brothers 2004 ZX6R(totally uncomfortable for me). But today it's 29 deg out so I'm not riding ****!

True. But I need something to think about all winter. The cooks at my restaurant think I'm crazy when they catch me sitting on my bikes in the basement.

1. they are about the same size physically but the rr may weigh a little more
2. any bike can smoke if not broken in right
3. they fixed 2nd gear on the r6 in 2003.

Again I see it the other way around. THe R6 looks more angular to me. Meh, oh well.

The 600rr and r6 are both damn nice bikes. Both of them got their ups and downs. I sat on the r6 and it's the most comfortable bike their is. I, also sat on the 600rr I loved it as well. The one thing that I love about the 600rr is the undertail exhaust. I wished they would have done it to the r6 as well.

The second gear problem has been fixed since they upped the dogbones up from three to five

I know. It was a joke, I was picking on stupid **** and stereotyping the 600RR as a smoker so I figured I'd throw in a R6 stereotype to be fair

The trunk space on an rr is stupid. Actually if you want trunk space, wear a backpack if you have an rr. I have an rr with a pc3, and well now the pc3 is in there I have just enough room to fit my registration. I would enjoy having a truck so you can throw an extra long sleeve shirt in there, ride the bike to the shop and pick up some chain lube, you know just common **** that becomes a problem without a trunk. With that I wont own any other bike than a rr. I am actually selling my 600, to pick up a 1000.
Although you get the looks from everyone, the undertail is awsome, and since honda first started it I love having one.

I believe Ducati was the first with an undertail exhaust on a non racebike!
But I still love my 600RR anyways. I am not a big fan of Ducati's. I rode a 996 3 years ago and the looks was the only thing that impressed me.

Well find me the duc that first had the undertail. If you can find a duc before 1992 with an undertail exhaust, you win. Untill then HONDA was the FIRST with its 1992 Nr750.

"There are hints of an older Honda too, as the letterbox headlights and underseat exhaust system first appeared on the exotic NR750 of 1992, which was a major influence on the seminal Ducati 916."
