During a hard week of driving how much oil do you guys burn?
During a hard week of driving how much oil do you guys burn? Ive been running her pretty hard this last week and Ive managed to burn about 2 quarts of oil.
20k ITR motor, zero
especially this past week,lol
its finally hit in the 50s and 40s in florida, so cars are running awesome for us below sea level cars,lol

Failing PCV valve can also cause excessive oil consumption. I was using 1 quart between oil changes on my brand new engine with a bad PCV. Changed it out and haven't lost a drop so far.

If the valve gets stuck and essentially never closes, then oil vapors are drawn into the intake manifold and then burned off. Thus causing "Excessive" oil consumption. Simple.

i've spun rod bearings on two motors because of this.... i left it open thinking it was ok...
my first was a ls/vtec the second is the B18C1(see sig) and i had the C1 rebuilt and this time i closed it up.. havent burned any oil when i did my change on sunday...
