So I've been shopping for a new pressure plate, considering a brand new stock ITR unit ($200) or a lower stage aftermarket unit for a similar price ($240).

The local Honda shop tells me yesterday that the newer DC2 ITR PP's have been given an increase in clamping force from around 750lbs to 1200lbs. I haven't heard this and find the change to a PP for a discontinued model to be quite questionable.

Can anyone confirm or deny this ? If it's as high as 1200... that sounds pretty damn good for me.

 

If this is true, it may be in the Alldata TSB. Even though I think Honda stop reporting to Alldata, but it may be worth a look. I think the website is http://www.alldata.com

are you sure? i thought stock itr was 1500lbs unless clamping force is somthing other than what i'm talking about.

 

i think someone like Len could confrim if it is true or not... id like to know as well
