Default Stock eg civic, what mods should i do first.

I have a stock 1992 civic DX, only thing i have for it is a front upper strut tower bar.

i got an intake for christmas, and also amber corners.

just wanted to know everyones opinion on what i should do to it first.

also if i lowered it 2.5" in the front and 2.25" in the rear, do you think 17"X7" wheels would fit?

ok if your ultimate goal is to go turbo then start saving for your kit, don't spend on headers, exhaust, intake and other little **** like that. A good way to go if you want mods is suspension, but that's up to you.

If you want NA then you can start a hole bunch of places.

People are going to tell you to do what you want, research and to tell them more about what your goals are.

yes 17's would fit...but those are too big for my liking...usually everyone here rocks 15 or 16 nothing really bigger than that, but hey it's your car...my opinion i would drop it first..good luck with your car

I would look into lowering springs and a nice set of 15-16" wheels.

The search button is your biggest asset on this site, use it. There is a thread answering this question exactly.

Do tires first, then suspension components, then engine stuff.

Buy yourself a nice set of coilovers (full, not sleeves) and 15-16" tires with some good rubber. That should cost you a good $1500, atleast.

Next, swap on a z6 head and tranny, then you're ready for turbo

I dont like coilovers IMO, i dont like having to get them corner balance. There also overkill for a stock street car.IMO

Oh so you got a 92 civ auto? Wow........

My opinion... get a z6 (ex/si) 5 speed trans, then start piecing together a turbo / fuel management kit. Oh and fit wheels & springs somewhere in there if ya want.

But honestly this might be starting off too fast for someone who just got a automatic civic and doesn't know how or where to start modifying it. No offense.

Good luck.

August - Picked up 98 B18C1 Swap 60K Miles (from wrecked integ) $3xxx
August - Installed Motor (OBD1 P72) Done at shop $6xx
September - Picked up stereo, steering wheel, tach, shiftlight
October - Paintjob black metallic

drop it around 2 inches and get some nice gsr swirly rims (oem integra gsr wheels)
then decide if your gonna go turbo or not..if not then buy a catback exhaust somehwere around 2.25-2.5 piping size ..something like apex-i is a very good company.. then i would work on collecting parts for your auto to manual conversion.. if u plan on sticking with the automatic i would at least drop in an automatic integra LS motor

Well i have a friend that knows a lot about hondas and he would be able to swap any motor or do any work on my car for me.

i am just not so sure what the best motor for my money would be.

right now my car has 22800 original miles on it, so the motor that is in it is in perfect condition. but slow. he suggested to do a mini me swap on the engine that is in it now, untill i could afford to do an entire swap.

just today he was telling me that we should swap an h22 into it, i just think i want to do something that not many people have done.

from what i hear a lot of people do the ls swap, just wondering is it a good swap?
