Default Gas Milage, I am not getting what I should

Ok, I have a 95 Sol Si.(D16Z6,11.9g tank) I have been getting 260-290 before the fuel light comes on. I don't drive like a grandma, but when I have I got the 290. Today, my light came on at 250. I know some of it has to do with the cold. The engine runs well, not burning or leaking oil. It has almost 73k miles on it.

What could be the reasons I am not getting the proper mileage?

air filter, fuel filter, PCV valve, O2 sensor

I will be doing the first 3 when I have the cash, the O2 will have to wait sometime, and is there a way yo have it checked?

Thanks

i would start with the fuel filter because it is dirty, then i would go with the air filter, the pcv valve should not effect the gas milage, you could also check the air in your tires to low of air could cause a decrease of gas milage and 10 less on a 12 gal tank in not alot

driving habits/weight in car/tires/fuel-air filter/up hill travel.... could effect your gas mileage

Even with all that, it should still be high 20's to low 30's. And it is a Sol so usually nuthin but me in the car. The tires seem fine, but I do need to check them still. along with the fuel and air flters. And it was like this before the cold weather, with this weather I got 250 then the light came on

Plugs (NGK!), fuel filter, cap and rotor. And of course an air filter change. Winter time will decrease the gas mileage, and check the tire pressure since it tends to decrease from the cold and will cause poor mileage.

I just got 300 from about 10.5 gallons with my B16 and heavy DA9....you should be beating me. But I drive pretty mildly in the winter.

Distributor cap and rotor? I am not the most technically minded, but I do know a few things. And the mileage was bad before this cold weather, it is just more noticible now.

Yes, the Dizzy cap and rotor. Get OEM to make double sure it not a cheap part that isnt up to snuff.

Do you have any sort of stuttering or bogging on accleration?

now...does it actually bog or just not have enough power to get moving.

It doesnt sound serious, nothing the basic tune-up wont fix. Good luck

I got the new cap and rotor on, spark plugs and my oil changed. Now my CEL comes on every other time I start my car.I think it may have to do with the fact that I broke 2 bolts that hold the cap on. 1 I could not get out to replace, so that side is taped up for now till I can get it done

Whoa, get those replaced ASAP. Make time to do it.

Also, get that fuel filter changed out.

It is just the one that still needs to be replaced. And it will have to be tapped out because it is still in the distributer side. The first one I was able to get ahold of with some vise grips, the second there was not enough to get ahold of
