Default Anyone else for: NO MORE Type-R sighting posts?

I mean I don't usually get peeved about most OT stuff and I guess an R sighting is related to the R forum but C'mon it is just plain silly now isn't it?

Seriously folk's these: "I saw or spotted a Type-R" posts are gettin really stale. No wonder we all make for the high ground when followed or confronted by another driver or enthusiest. I mean between all the thefts and general B.S. that we have to deal with from Ricer fly-bys, Police crap, and Rev-happy High School Geeks in Mom's caravan, it's no wonder why we would just take off and not want to talk to anyone else unless we knew them. The attention gets a little old sometimes, and the posts are getting older, Sorry Toda Party!

No wonder I bought a black one the second time!

One of these days we're going to get a post like
"Type R spotted on driveway of Parklane Blvd #45; was that you?"

I see your point.

But, for those that live in an area with few R's, and they see another one on the road that might live in their area, maybe it's a good way to meet new owners?

Haha. It's just a way to say sup and ID other members though. I don't think we should remove them since they don't live on the board for very long. ( max 1 full day)

U see one, u see them all. Its safer to be less noticeable these days with all the thieves.

Hey Anton, are you getting grumpy in your old age?

Do like I do just read right over them but like the man said what if there are few where they live?

At the rate that R's are dying, there's gonna be less and less sightings anyway.....

i think *sightings* can be used for something constructive in the case of stolen R's. who knows, you might have seen one in a location just moments before it was stolen and be able to help narrow down the search...without even knowing you've helped out.

Hey, I spotted one of those Type R sighting posts today. Is it okay if I post about it to honda-tech.com?

As long as someone can tell me who the girl is that drives the *stock* '97 R in Winston-Salem, I'll be content to let the rest go

my type r sighting post was a joke. I did not see an itr with an aem intake and azeni tires. The moral of the story is that posting threads about seeing type r's is lame. It's just a car, it's not like seeing bigfoot or something. More thoughtful posts would be better.

all in all .. i think its ok. Some people just want to know who it is because getting to know a new R owner is always good.

Type R? Who has a type R? Those are so rare!! I once saw this white one before. It had the stickers and sunroof and it was stock. Only one I have seen in my life. It must have been real because it was stock. All those riced out integras can't be type rs. Where are all the type Rs hiding?

yeah - lets get rid of them and a few others...

- no more track date events - those can go in the competition forum
- no more stolen R threads - those can go in the security forum
- no more FI R questions - those can go in the FI forum
- no more i paid xxxxx for my R good deal - those can go in the best buy forum
- no more "whats that noise" posts - those can go in the tech forum
- no more "what wheels for my car" - those can go in the appearance forum
- no more "is the R faster then X" - those can go in the kills fourm
- no more "no more 'xxxxx'" posts - those can go in the members corner forum
- no more owners with civics and ITR motors - they can go to the hybrid fourm
- no more "regular" integra owners - they can go to the integra forum
- ONLY posts now are questions about other R owners and how they like the way they look in "their" ITRs - because the ITR owners are just so damn special - that they get to be cocky ******** and bitch and moan - even though "their" forum is the most popular and most frequently visited on the entire H-T website (now why would anyone want to go there)...

Sometimes i wonder why people dont like ITR owners...then i see posts like this - and i remember why...

i am just as tired of these lame *** posts as you are - and as angry and disgruntled i am on a daily basis - i somehow find a way to meander right past them and move onto the next post without bitching or opening the thread only to anger myself even more...

close your eyes if it hurts you that bad...
(the more people that come and see that this board the more off topic post there will be - DEAL with it - or go to H-A.net - they still got some stale *** threads from weeks ago on the front page of the ITR forum...)

OH - i forgot - no more stereo/speaker questions - those go in the audio forum

I agree with B2 on this one. We can't get so **** about OT posts that this forum becomes boring.

Very well said TurboITR.

OT is inevitable...sorry guys. If you don't like the post ignore it. LOOK past it. I only read and participated in a fraction of the posts here (maybe 10% or so). There are so many I don't even read.

Best way to kill an OT topic? Just don't read it. Simple as that.
