does anyone know if the OEM shift **** is a screw in or does it snap in? because i have a skunk 2 shift ****.. and its freezin when i drive the car. feels like im grippin on a piece of ice. and is OEM leather? 4th gen manual tranny.

-mine never came with the OEM ****.

 

The OEM **** screws onto the shift lever, and then clips onto the stock boot. It is made of black rubber.

 

get the one from a 03 Si, I had one felt alot better than my stock and its leather

 

I dunno about 4th gens but on the 5th gen all you had to do is pull down to get the boot down.
