have i finally figured out what my rattle is?
The rattle is like this, when i apply the brakes lightly at high or low and when i let off the brake after a stop, i also does it when i drive down bumpy roads, and when i turn over uneven pavement. I can controll the rattle using the break, i can slighty feel it in the brake pedal and the steering wheel.
using honda-tech and other places, the possibilities are:
brake pads, brake rotors, ball joints, steering gear box and its mounts, sway bar and its mounts, motor mounts.
everything has checked out but the motor mounts.
i have had this rattle for over 4 years, it has finally gotten to the point of driving me crazy. No one i took the car to has been able to figure out what it is, a local mechanic, my engine swapping buddy, and even the Honda dealership.
At first we thought it was my brakes, i then replaced the pads, on doing so we saw that the metal shims were missing and there was no grease or gue holding the pads somewhat in place, they were really loose, so we fixed all that.
Well, that didnt fix the problem. rattle is actually worse, so i thought my sway bar or steering gearbox was loose, but they are not. Nothing appears to be broken
We then thought it could be the motor/ tranny mounts. when i had the car on jacks, i turned it on and put it in reverse. the motor looked like it was gonna jump out of the engine bay. when i put it in drive (auto) and applied the brakes the motor started to jump out again.
I have already had the front mount replaced which made the problem go away before for a little while, but we didnt replace the back one.
could this finally be it? any more suggestions?

Check ALL the rest of them.
