i took off my intake tube on my 95 accord ex to install a weapon-r intake, and there is underneath the tube(it is connected to it) i cannot figure out what it is. there is no place for it on the new intake and its hooked up to the electrical system. what the heck is this thing? and what do i need to do about it

 

I think your talking about the resonator. Is it a black box with wires and tubes coming out of it? If it is, it selects the best path for air to take (either from the fender or bumper) and quites the intake sound. Its basically useless without the stock airbox.

 

thanks for your help, i took the box off and kept the electrical thing intact. i just plugged the vacuum that went to it. it still runs fine and the idle and such is still good, so thanks for your help again.
