im selling a 02' used type s tranny that came out of my rsx-s. yes its NOT in perfect shape internally. it could be a few problems or could just be one problem. i had the tranny rebuilt by acura in feb. of 2004 due to the break down of the spider gear tooth inside the differential acura replaced those parts and also threw in a new tranny casing/housing. the tranny ended causing problems again aug 2004..and i ended up buying a new tranny for my ride.

im asking $425 for the used 02 tranny unit (no clutch) i dont know the exact problem, i never got it diagnosed. my guess is a tooth or teeth are missing on the gears. this is perfect for anyone that wants to build their tranny to their specific specs.

i don't know which acura place you took it to, but the one i work at, every tranny problem that come in that is still under factory warrantee will get replace with a brand new tranny, we only repair internals when it is not a warrantee job and the customer pays for all the parts and labor, unless you vold the warrantee, how we know if the warrantee vold is from the ecu, it show everything that you have done to the motor,
your 2002 should still have warrantee for the tranny,

 

my car was not stock when i brought my car in. it had the basic bolton. race header, cai, hondata ecu...lowered yada yada...and i thought they would have replaced the WHOLE tranny to a new one...and they didnt.
