painting brake calipers?
you dont have to sand the calipers but make sure they are very clean. I dont think you cant mess up the caliper with hi temp brake paint. My friend did it to his accord and nothing happend.
Red!!!
White ITRs looks awesome w/ red calipers, so will your civic.
I used engine enamel (the one w/ a V8 motor on the can) 50,000 miles ago, and they still look good (tiny rock chips in only a couple places). Wire brush your calipers till clean, wash them, and if possible give a final rubb w/ alcohol after masking. Just remember, the more you mask, the better they will look. Mask off the piston, piston boot, caliper guide pin boots, brake lines, caliper mounting bolts, and remove all the hardware & pads first too (put them all back were they came from if reusing them). Hang the calipers on bent up coat hangers in your wheel well, and mask off the wheel wells so you don't get overspray on your car. You won't regret it because they look perfect. Give it a couple hours to dry too.
P.S. black sounds like a waste of time to me...
