ok i have a set of CRX bumpers that i was going to try and put on my hatch

anyone done this before
is it even possible

and if not where can i get some bumpers and moldings cheap?

i dont know about crx bumper on the hatch but i 've seen hatch bumper on CRX.

 

Rear bumper might fit..
front wont fit without mods because hatches have a filler peice,,

That pretty much sums it up.

 

i had a friend try all this and here's what he found

he didn't have the rear put on, i'm not sure 100% but i think its cause the rear doesn't work or it just looked fugged up. and it'll make it a bitch to open the hatch without the hand slot even if it does.

i know for a fact the front can be done with a crx bumper support. otherwise zip ties can be used w/o the support. but on the sides it won't look quite right w/o the crx fenders

i've seen the front end swapped (fender/bumper/rad support/headlights etc.) but the rear won't work

Looks kinda cool, gets rid of that extra peice in the front that hatchs and sedans have. Isn't worth the work though, unless you're rebuilding the front end.

 

yea i havent tried the back yet but the front wasnt going to fit without some heavy mods

i have a mugen style wings west kit that i am getting rid of in place i wanted stock bumpers and my friend had some CRX bumpers laying around so i figured maybe theyd fit

the bumpers are different, i know the front wont work. i havent done the back yet!

 

there are pics around if you search- i can't remember where i saw them. it went on the front- didn't look right.

 

yea they dont really even come close to fitting

but now i need to find some
and have looked every where searched on here and on the internet even on ebay and i cant seem to find bumpers and side moldings

i have a black front, and either a red rear or a jdm maroon rear, all '91, that i would consider selling, but i wouldn't ba able to ship them until later in the month when i can get them out of storage.
