I got the conclusion of some people with Civics feel looks are more important

 

nothing wrong with topics about wheels, but its always Rota this Mugen that or Spoon....I don't see anything else........

Well, the majority of ppl who like to modify cars change their wheels. It makes a big difference in the car's appearance, and yes, many car enthusiasts feel that appearance is important too (I being one of them). It can also make a big diff in the car's performance, so it's a mod that can appeal to enthusiasts of varying goals (show, go, or both..me). And, like any cosmetic enhancement that costs a significant amount of money, everyone wants to see how it looks on their car or something similar before they dish out the doh. I don't mind posts about wheels...I get a lot of background pics and other harddrive eating bytes from it, but yes, the forum (along w/ most of the other forums) are a lil saturated w/ rota and spoon posts. Tho, if we reprimand ppl for posting pics, then I know I myself will miss out on a lot of kewl toys that I wish I new about.

 

More specifically, Rota rims.

 

Well maybe you should make a Wheel and Tire tech forum for H-T.com??

Everyone get wheels and tires and they just don't want to buy crap or slippery tires (Parada). You've got to admit there is a sea of rims and tires out there that all sound great in ads or in pics. But the reality of them is sometimes less then what was promissed. Offsets, sizes, weights, drop ranges, brands, colors, designs, UTQG ratings, wet traction, Auto-Xing and just simple personal opinions of the tires or rims. Lots of things to learn on these two items alone.

Basically I think they post with the hopes that everyone will jock their rims and tell them how cool the car looks. But in reality everyone tells them how stupid it is because it's not what they like.

 

look at the good point at least no one has asked about some phat 19" chrome wheels!!!

yeah leave them here. i just got a dx and ive never been into looks cause i had a gsr and its rims were nice. but now i got to get something...well at least some bigger steelies. i got 13". so seeing alot of pics is helpin me out. but there are a **** load of them here.

i think that lots of posts lately have been about wheels becuase of 2 events:
1. the time of year...lots of people buys wheels in the winter time because they're cheaper during that time of the year.
2. this wholse friggin rota issue! i am not even going into depth there!
