I don't own one yet but I will by this friday..
Advantages are better back protection, better areodynamics, and better air flow to the back on hot days.. at least that's what teknic claims about their speedstar jackets which have the hump

I've wanted this jacket for the longest time but I never found it for less than $400 bucks! They actually don't make this particular jacket anymore so it's pretty hard to find...
It's called the Teknic SpeedStar Jacket:
Here are the specs:

Anatomical pre-curved racer cut.
TASC (Teknic Advanced Seam Construction): multiple rows of hidden stitching provide maximum seam strength.
Air Flow Hump aids in back protection, reduces drag and distributes fresh air to the riders back. Patent Pending
Comfort Collar and Cuff System made from neoprene fabric for improved comfort and maneuverability. Patent Pending.
Forearm stretch panels of Schoeller Keprotec from wrist to chest for better fit, comfort and maneuverability.
YKK Baramushi Zipper. The highest grade of zipper life and burst strength.
Teknic/Knox CE PLASTIC Armour protection (shoulders and elbows.)
AIRTEX Snap out quilted inner jacket lining for added insulation is softer, less bulky and non-allergenic.
Advanced Armor system secures elbow armor directly into the jacket outer shell by fitting it between two layers of leather.
Full circumference connection zipper allows jacket to be fitted to Speedstar jean and used as a race legal two piece suit.

I could've sworn we had this discussion before...

Pros
- racer look (if that's your sort of thing)
- supposedly helps to keep your neck in line with your head if you were to land on your back (as reported by one article...i'll see if i can dig it up for any of you naysayers)

Cons
- racer look (if that's not your sort of thing)

There isn't that much aerodynamic efficiency with the typical speedhumps you find on jackets/suits available to us. It would have to be huge and extend down to just above your tailbone to be effective.

I have a Dianese Bora and its got a hump on the back. Well, it gets in the way of my baseball cap when I wear it backwards and put my helmet on.

Also, gets in the way of my back pack a little bit at 1st but you get used to it.

I like the looks of it. Most of my female friends (cause I don't give a **** what my hater guy friends say) comment on it and says it looks kinda cool.

I ******* HATED THE HUMP ON MY SPEEDMASTER JACKET.

Piece of **** was always rubbing against the back of my helmet. Annoying like ****. I'll never buy another jacket with a speed hump. Suit, maybe. Jacket, hell no.

They look fast. Great for the bar discussion on who is the fastest rider. SLight advantage for very fast riders when used as part of an aero package. Lo
