Default 95 VTEC with Euro-R motor: Need Advice

man getting this engine in had ALLLL KINDS of issues, anyhow I got a P28 in there tuned, and the idle is still all weird...runs super low sometimes. and nobody tell me to use the idle screw cause the Euro-R doesn't have one, and I have already checked the IAC. Other than that the car runs strong , but I got the shittiest mpg ever. something like 15mpg.... I have a RSR, AEM V2, and greddy header. Left internal untouched. but man ...this motor is a total HEADACHE! NOW I KNOW WHY PEOPLE WARNED ME AGAINST IT...................

since your using a p28 i am wondering if the "chiped" ecu is not throwing the check engine light if something is wrong.

sounds like something is screwed up but the modified p28 isn't throwing a code.

did you get the ecu with the motor, perhaps you should plug that in an try and idle it, and see if the ecu throws the CEL

That or hes pouring gas on the concrete at only 15mpg!

Do you have any more info on the car? is everything else stock? have these problems just recently srpung up or were they like this since the swap? did you ever try using the stock p13?

ok man i def wanna help so lets focus on one issue at a time, first things first you have to make sure the your check engine light ins't burnt out, when you turn the key on do you see it light up for a few seconds,?

with the stock p13 the idle is still crappy? with after market motor mounts that are stiff the engine might idel at the correct rpm but feel rough cuz the aftermarket mounts are not as "Squishy" as the stock

Okay. First off, how did you wire up the iacv? It is a 3-wire and a p28/p13 is designed to run a 2 wire iacv (plus your plug on your harness should be for a 3 wire.

The Euro R 3 wire iacv was designed to control the idle completely, thus the TB does not have an idle screw. What you can do, if you are using a 2 wire iacv since its not getting enough air, is set the stop screw on the butterfly so that it doesn't fully close. You will have to mess with it to get the car to idle at the rpm you want it to.

I ran my Euro R with the p13 and it ran fine. I had an fpr and set my fuel pressure to around 42 psi with the vacuum line connected.

What fuel pressure are you running?

If there are no CEL i don't know why the engine would run so crappy.
