96 lx accord with 93 h22a JDM...is it true that the resistor frequencys are different for the accord than the h22 and the injectors need to be changed to type r...I hope i worded that right??? thanks!

use h22 injectors. type r injectors dont flow enough for an h22.

 

but isnt there a difference in the resitor boxes??? If so wouldnt it be easier and cheaper to just get the box??? Thanks! Im just learning about the whole injector resistor deal...

 

type r cc rating is 240 h22a rating is 290 and 345

 

your 96 accord lx aleady has an injector resistor box....so you dont need ot change anything as far as injectors when you drop the h22a in.

 

I was thinking since it is a resistor box on a obdII car and he's swapping an obdI engine into it, it might be different and he needs to get an obdI resistor box. I guess not though? This has been bugging us, thanks for the help.

while we are on the topic of injectors, i think i have a problem with my injectors after my swap. i converted my car to stick, and while i was at it i put in a new engine out of a 2001 accord. now the car is getting fuel to the rail, so i think its the injectors.

i dont know what the problem is though. is it the fact that i have a different year motor in my car, or is it that i converted to stick that is making my injectors not work??

 

maybe the injectors are just bad...or in the wiring

 

could all four injectors really go bad all at once? i considered that, but for a 2001 engine, i couldnt see that happening. the only code i'm getting is something about the intake idle thing, but would that stop it from running?

 

Intake idle thing...TPS or MAP maybe. if the MAP is messed up it wont run

have you cehcked t see if htey are sprayig or not? or if you are getting spark?

 

havent checked if they are spraying, but there is definately spark because it runs off starter fluid.

 

post the code your pulling up and im sure someone on here can tell you what it is

 

ts my IAC thats not connected. thats th only coe that i coming up. i tried he brake ode, but i think the iac needs to be hooked up. am i right?

I did a h22a4 swap in my 97 accord. We originally thought the probs we were having was b/c of the injectors. Turned out the ecu we were using had diff. fuel mapping and ignition timing that was making it run like sh*t.

 

JDM h22 has 105 more cc then the type r 240 for type r and 345cc for h22
