Testing the waters: What's she worth? (01 NBP ITR)
What do you think she's worth?
NBP ITR #01-0386, purchased new 12/15/00, one owner, 92K miles
All stock with the following exceptions:
-Greddy Oil temp and pressure gauges installed 03/04
-Bilstein Shocks installed 03/04 (still on stock springs)
-Goodridge SS Brake Lines installed 11/02
-DIY cold air intake, antenna switch, and master cylinder brace
-35% window tint on all windows except for windshield
-Clifford Alarm installed 01/01
Maintenance Items:
-New Re010's installed 04/04
-Floor mats replaced 02/04 with genuine ITR floormats from Acura
-New Die Hard battery installed 11/04
-Timing Belt, tensioner, water pump, and accessory belts replaced with OEM honda parts 06/04
-New front brake pads and rotors to be installed before car is sold (Cobalt GT Sports)
-Always used synthetic oil from 7K miles onward (changed every 3K miles)
-Front wheel bearings replaced 11/02
Misc:
-Interior in very good condition - everything is stock and works fine
-Few very minor body items (few small paint chips on hood from highway use and a couple of small door dings)
-Front bumper cover and air dam was repainted this past spring (perfect match to the rest of the car)
Car was dyno'd at 168hp at the wheels on a dynojet - all stock with power steering belt removed (dyno sheet available) and timing set to 18 BTDC.
Will also include 4 painted steel wheels and 195/55 r 15 Michelin Pilot Alpins with car (in addition to stock wheels and Re-010's).
I have and will include with sale ALL of the original paperwork, including manuals, maintenence records, parts receipts, pink slip, window sticker, Helms manual, etc.
Here's some pics:
(only time car was ever tracked - Expo #4)

(taken in the spring after mounting new tires)

(with the winter wheel and tire package)

(Greddy gauges)
Can't believe I'm considering selling it, but we're buying a house soon, and I could really use the money. So what would be a reasonable asking price?
(note: this does NOT mean I'm definitely selling my car, I'm just wondering how much I could get for it...)

thank you AGAIN for that wonderful tidbit... but I wasn't asking for opinions on my winter wheel and tire package. I was hoping to get an accurate estimate of the value of my car...
Thanks.

Mileage kind of hurts. Just roll it back

yeah, I kindof figured that the mileage would be a problem, but I've tried to stay on top of all the maintenance and everything... They are highway miles (if it's any consolation). (I have a 34 mile commute to work each way).
In other news, #386's four year birthday is on wed

I can remember the fun I had when I had my ITR on steelies and winter tires. No snow could stop me.
I would think no more than 19K for her. Just hold out a little if you sell her. The right buyer will come along.
It will be a bad day watching the new owner drive away.

I think 17 - 18k, it does has 95k miles on it. it's looks like it's in good condition, I think you shouldn't post track pics.. reason been that when you bring it to the tracks, you beat it pretty good.

Car was only tracked once, but you have a point... Pretty much everyone on this board has seen that pic though
oh, and it only has 92K miles on it (not like that's much of a difference however)

I went through one Virginia winter w/my ITR on Dunlop SP5000. Worked out pretty well! Torsen axle helped a lot.

It makes more sense than subjecting any alloys to winter damage, if the driver's in a chemical/salt winter area.

owning a ITR and NOT tracking it is like getting a hooker for the night and just having a heart to heart conversation with her.

I agree. That's about what a typical 2001 goes for, with about half as many miles. I would normally deduct $2-3K for the high mileage, but in this case I think that would be offset (in roughly an equal amount) by the obviously high level of care (all maintenance etc) and excellent condition.
If you agree, I would list it for $18,999K in an ad, to give yourself a little room to negotiate downward.

Nick....as you know the mileage is going to hurt you even though you and I both know that its b/c of your daily commute. Although the caR has not seen haRd driving (track events, autocross...etc...) I would place an estimate on the R around $16K
. You may find a hard time finding a buyer at that price immediately but with anything your selling there is always the right buyer....finding that buyer sucks
