d15b vtec clutch setup, what are you guys.....
Ordered my d15b vtec from usedforeignengines.com for 630 shipped. Now, Im not sure how the clutch that is attached to my old zc will hold, since I never really got to drive it. On ebay there are clutches for $88.00, exedy organic OEM. Should I go a head and get one for a d16z6 or get one for my 91 Si? I figure the z6 one will hold better, but I want to make sure the fitment is correct as well. Also, you d15b guys, what clutch setup are YOU running. Thanks

I have a D15BVTEC in my EG & I am using a 92-95 EX/Si Exedy OEM replacement clutch. It holds fine for DD, but I think a stage 1 would have better pedal feel. If you just want OEM pressure, etc. It will work fine IMO. I got it for $220ish from http://www.hnaparts.com

i have the lsd tranny that came with the engine and i got a act stage 2 for the 92-95 si/ex seems to work great !

D15b in my 89crx si. Im using the SI tranny with a exedy stage one clutch and a ACT streetlight flywheel. I like it alot. Grips really well not to harsh at all. Just dont go overkill with such a light car if its your daily driver. Clutch i had before my swap was to harsh and it got old fast. Just wasnt needed with the lower power and such a light vehicle.
