another "help me choose a jacket thread"
Boy i hope i dont get flamed for this
...but i have the cash and wanna buy a jacket very soon. Not really sure what i'm looking for. Probably something leather, majority of warm summer riding, but i'd like it to be suitable for fall as well..
I'm skinny and tall, 6'3, 180lbs.
I was looking at the joe rocket blaster and sonic jackets. Or i'd like to pick up a used alpinestar or something...
Any advice?

Go to the store and try em on before you buy em, especially if you're buying em online. Buy it tight but not so tight you are suffocating. It will stretch to fit you.
look into perferated leather jackets. they can get warm in the summer but its ends up being perfect in those cool 60 degree nights. where do you live?
I've been partial to the daniese, can't afford it tho, and if you want to end up at the track, you can zip it to some daniese pants... also A* are nice... and I love my joe Rocket, great bang for the buck

I dont race... yet, so i'm looking for basically a good bang for the buck that'll keep me safe.
I live in NY so everyngiht is basically a cool 60* night, so yea, prolly preforated leather with a liner or something. None of the shops around here seem to have jackets right now, most went to all snow gear. I gotta head downstate this weekend i guess to do some sizing.

Get a good quality "leather" jacket. Make sure its snug, dont buy a loose fitting one cause it looks better on you. Look for a local Cycle Gear store so you can try some on to find your size.
