swap gsr or h22a in my 99 accord coupe
i thought it was better to swap a h22 into my 99 honda accord cuope ex stick shift but then i was talkin to my friend about it and he told me to swap in a gsr. i was wondering witch one is better for my accord.
Most people will tell you to go with H22. Mainly because it has been done before and it isn't that difficult to swap. Another reason is that the H22 has more torque and that is needed in a heavy car like the 6th gen accord.
hmmm....lets think about this for a second...
h22 swap... 200 HP and 161 TQ at lower RPMS acheived... total swap = around $2500 or so...
GSR swap... 180 HP and 126 TQ at very high RPMS acheived... total swap = around $3500 or so...
h22 swap, almosts drops right in with very little modification needed...
GSR swap, almost drops in, but you need custom mounts, custom wiring harness, custom axles, blah blah blah...
what sounds better to you?

With a GSR swap, the car will barely move. The 6th Gen Accord is far too heavy to work with the amount of torque that motor will provide. H22 is your best bet.
