My temperature control leaver has always been very hard to slide from cold to hot. The other day I tried to put it in the max heat position and it just got stuck and now I have no heat at all. I checked all the cables and they are all good. I tried to move the cable at the heater control valve itself and it wont even budge, do you thing i need to replace the control valve? any way i could loosen that thing up??? any help would be appreciated..
How easy is it to replace the valve, if need be?

 

first un hook the cable at the heater control valve, and then try to manualy operate the valve, if it does not move with ease with the cable connected then you should replace the valve, but i bet you cable is just all bound up, you might need to replace that.

 

Yea, I did that, and it definatly does not move, I even tried to move it inside the engine bay back and forth and it doesnt budge, sound like the valve??? Does it just get stuck like that and not budge?

 

yeah its definately the valve, pretty easy to replace just a bit tough to get at.....should be pretty cheap too....
