Should I change my to "Unemployed BudMan"?
As of today - I have been laid-off from my position as Technical Developer for the intranet at work...
Yellow Dragon switched to "Unemployed-Yellow Dragon" so what the hell!
hehehe - I'm still coming to the Expo tho!!!
ahhhhh - New Job = keep severance for Racing Budget!!

I feel your pain...I have been unemployed for 8 months now!!! I start my new career next week! I'm so excited...

Jeff: Did they accept your offer or did they just lay you off?

I did "volunteer" basically, 'cause I'd been looking for other work during the last couple of months...5 months severance pay will be nice.
So it is a bit less dramatic than "not expecting" it - I've been waiting for an answer since the beginning of December & these are the 2nd round of layoffs...I didn't think there might be any more opportunities for a change and $$.
Many people out of work are in much worse position.....I just want to find good employment again so that I can see a good plan come together. Until then - I'll be working at home studying all the dba/network/a+ crap I can stick in my head & be interview king I hope!!
After 2001's crappy luck for my family, I'm just hoping this is the beginning of some new, more exciting things to come
