Default Your take on the new Accord ('03+)

Hey all. This is my first post at Honda Tech and I'm currently in the market for a new car. I got a chance to testdrive the new Accord EX today with 5sp, 4cyl. I was very impressed by the quality of the ride and interior, as well as the awesome engine/trans combo. I was just wondering what everyones take is on this car? Anything to watch out for?

Yeah I hear you. Honda has really stepped up with their current lineup of cars. Solid and strong engines, smooth transmissions, logical and nice interiors, and extremely good quality materials. The other companies are going to have to step it up because I've driven a BMW 528i, Lexus ES300, Cadillac STS, VW Passat V6, and many other high end cars, and I would chose the humble Accord over all of them. It is the complete package and everything fits together so well.

I'm not too interested in lightning fast 0-60's or quarters because I'm not interested in drag racing this car. However, handleing is very important and the Accord didn't dissapoint. I was able to take it on a quick run through some s-curves and it preformed better than I expected. The engine in this car feels like it is going to keep accelerating. I was 60mph at 3500RPM in third! That equals fantastic gas mileage in 5th! I just love this engine. It is the K24A, right?

I couldn't even imagine this engine in a small light car like the Civic SI. What a kick in the pants. These are fantastic cars. The K series engine has so much pep around town it makes it fun to drive! I want an Accord now!

Any more advice or opinions would be much appriciated.
