i have bridgestone bt002's, they are "sticky" (1500 mile treadlife). the best solution for you may be to get a penske shock with a stiffer spring along with some fork springs better suited to your weight.

First, you need to set your sag. I'm not going to discuss how, because you should be able to find the pertinent info off the 'net. After that, find a piece of road with very little traffic and some turns. Change one (and ONLY one) setting, go for a quick ride, take notes, then adjust again. Only change one setting at a time.

I also suggest getting heavier fork springs. I got RaceTech springs for $100, and they made a world of difference. FWIW, I'm 6'0 and 240lbs.

Your setup depends on where you ride and how you ride. Don't ask anyone, just try a setting and take notes.

Like pro racers will have a different setup depending on where and when they're racing.

he is right. i assumed you had already maxed out adjustments or something and still needed a better suspension. i ride the same road every day and try a different set of suspension settings. i finally found one that seems to work out well; i will be stiffening up the shocks a little bit then probably calling it a day.
