Aftermarket Intake Manifold
Hey, I'm lookin into gettin another intake manifold for my A6. I was wondering if the ones that Edelbrock and Skunk2 make for the vtec motors will fit on the A6 in an EF. I know the OBsuX one doesnt fit cus of the master cylinder. Would i be better off goin with a Y8 IM? I plan to get the Delta cam with the 272 duration and 415 lift, and also plan to turbo somewhere down the line. So i figured this would be a good next investment for the money i have to blow. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. Yes Honda-tech, I have searched, and its just hard to find anyone that has these on the A6 head and in an Ef.

i've got the skunk2 on y8 in ef...should be the same they are both D16's
Exospeed has the edelbrock in their all motor a6 crx...i'd say your good to go!

ok cool, i jsut wanted to make sure these fit ok, i know ppl have said that the iacv is like reeeally close to the firewall, but who cares lol. And i could be mistaken but i heard that the edelbrocks are less expensive than skunk2's and also the edelbrock makes up for some design flaw in the honda design that skunk2 overlooked and copied. any info on that? found that tidbit on Dseries.org in some random post. thanks again.
hehe i think you're talking about my post...

I do love however how edelbrock payed attention to the stock manifold design flaw (skunk2 copied the design flaw) in that having the TB perpendicular to the runners on passenger side makes cylinders 3 & 4 run lean and 1 & 2 rich.
I'm sure this problem isn't extremely slight because so many race/turbo manifolds have the "stock style" but seeing edelbrock **** the TB flange approx 25 deg to fix this impresses me.
Either way built and I hope to have some sick dyno graphs for you guys.

I actually have the skunk2 because i got it for a great deal...i prob would have went edelbrock though. Either way it was a huge difference especially on my setup.
Yeah taking off IACV requires removing manifold now.
