I just got my new transmission and poped it in my 1989 Honda Prelude SI 2.0. Everything went great. But I noticed something after bolting it in....the wires seem to be different colors and seems to be a few extra ones.
I noticed that this new transmission has 4 solenoids on the side of the trans while the old one did not. This confused me a little.
I cant go back to the old trans and trace everything back because I no longer have it. I called up the shop where I bought it at and they assured me that the transmission they sold me is the right one, its just a little different. To have them take a look at it and hook up the wiring, its gonna cost me more dough, which I lack right now.
So this is where I need help. I need to find all, if any, wiring diagrams for a 1989 Honda Prulude, SI, 2.0 transmission. Google turned up nothing. I called a few shops and they weren't very helpful. I wouldn't mind spending cash on thse diagrams, but free would be very cool.
Any help would be very appreciated. If I left out any information, let me know.

How many did yours have on the side? what are the color wire of the new transmission?

 

Hopefully they didn't give you a 1991 Prelude Auto tranny because only the 1991's had OBD-1 ECUs and the rest of the 3rd gens (1988-1990) had OBD-0. Extra sensors and such, probably wont be compatible.....
Why not go on http://Www.PreludePower.coM and ask those guys in the 3rd gen forum. I'm sure they will know what to do to help you.
