OBD1 head on OBD2 B18C1??
Can I do this? Run a 94-95 head on the 96 block? I am running an OBD1 ECU w/ conversion harness at the moment. The goal is to run the ODB1+Hondata inside the OBD2 ECU housing. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Also, any1 know how I can tell from the stamps on the casting if a head is OBD1 or 2?

all the heads are the same...only thing that changes are injector clips!!!!
you will gain ZERO performance with going with obd1 head!!

I doubt he's worried about performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 Maybe just needs a new head and happened to find an OBD1 for cheaper??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111 Or more 94-95 heads then 96+'s? ?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!111onehundredeleven!!!!! Either way I don't for see a problem!!!

As does the 94-95. Maybe you are thinking 92-95 Civic vs 96+ Civic. 94-01 B18C1's all have the pentroof sqaureish combustion chambers. Should be 41.6 combustion chambers on all GSR's.

IIRC all gsr heads are the same.
and to tell the year look at the stamping on the head were the exhaust mainifold would bolt up there is a circle with a line threw it and on each side of the line is a number (eg 95) that would mean the head was in a 1994 gsr

Thanks all. Not looking to make mad power
, just that most of the 4sale listing say what OBD level the head is, so I was not sure if they are compatible.

Just the combustion chamber volume in cubic centimeters. The P72 head has smaller and a different design combustion chamber then a PR3 head, thus giving it the slightly higher compression and supposed better quench area which for the most part has proven to be true at least in comparable LSVTEC builds.
