Default semi new here,

Hello all my name is Grady, im 16, i ride a 1996 CBR 600 F3, i currently drive an 86 bmw 325es, with 235000 miles on it so im looking for a new car and hopefully will have enough funds sometime this spring, ok now to the real question, im looking for a 2nd gen integra, i have been researching quite a bit and know a fair bit about them as well, i just want some more input as if it is really worth putting my money down for a car that is 10-14 years old. or save for something newer, i really like the 96 civic ex but everyone and their momma has one. so input is very much appreciated. thnk you all

2nd gen integras are cheap, reliable and do not get stolen as much as the newer models. Because of their low price all you really need is liability insurance. So I think they are a great deal for a used car.

Not sure if you already know but they also have the same LS motor in their lower base models and a b17 in the gsr

I had to choose between a 91' or 94' integra, the 91' had 138,xxx miles and the 94 had 107,xxx miles. The price difference was $2,500. Looking at both the car I decided to pick the 91' because personaly I don't like the round lights of the newer models and the 2 gen are lighter with a more of a sleeper look, which is the kinda look I'm going for. For a car that comes with a full tune up and a new radiator for a whopping $1,000 even, who wouldn't pick that car.

well i knew they had the b17 of course, but a 2nd gen GSR is so rare that when you find one, its crazy expensive. what i really wanna do is swap ina b20b and use a b16 (ys1?) tranny, cable of course. i believe i have read that this motor (b20b) works better with the ls cams in it than the factory cams, so does that mean aftermarket cams such as crower 403's will work as well??????also dont the headers bolt straight up as well, just as they would on a stock integra? thanks guys for the warm welcome

b20 is pimp for boost! or juice! which ever ya like. my gsr will like juice sooner or later.... good luck on the car. if it was me i might look more toward a 2nd gen chance of getting jacked is much lower..... sounds like you did all your reasearch....

well the only personal experience i have had with the 2nd gen was my friends 90 4door, he had to replace the transmission, clutch and motor mounts,9almost 2 gradn labor included) all with only 135,xxx miles and his vales are clapping. that is the only thing other than the money issue that is holding me back..
