Default Engine Management, Which do you Prefer? Pics...

Ok, just got this in today, new Toy Imported JDM Apexi Power FC for DC2R. (I had US version PowerFC before, but US one is actually for B16B EK9R, the only one sold in US) Anyway, I sold the US version and got a new one from Japan, newest one for DC2R.

I also have these ECUs laying around.

My modded P28 ZIF socket USB datalogging, and Custom Painted Cover, and real Skunk2 harness

Finally my old JDM P73 ecu.

Of these three which do you guys prefer for engine Management? Just wanted to get some input. might sell the other ones I dont use, hehe...

haha...i don't understand why you posted pics...

they're all honda ecus so it all comes down to tuning -- i'd say that a socketed P28 has the most potential.

like i said, all depends on your setup and who you have doing the tuning...

I'd go with the Power FC with Power Commander and Datalogit. You'll get control over more parameters with the PFC than if you used Hondata (or Uberdata).

I like the Hondata interface/datalogging features and it would be easier to learn with the Hondata than the PFC if you plan on doing some or all of the calibrations on your own.

Well if they didn't know what you were talking about, you shouldn't want their help.

Good point I'm biased towards the Power FC too... but the tweaking part of it is hard. Not too many experienced users of this in the US. But I did take it for a ride today on my new Power FC and it this one does seem notably smoother and more "Perfect" on my GSR/Skunk2 IM B18C1 than the US version PFC for EK9 B16B.

I guess people are still hyping about the Hondata Chipped P28 revolution, thing, is the most annoying part of that setup is the Surging Idle, which I am told is normal for all OBD2 to OBD1 equipped cars. That problem is non-existant on the PFC with runs like stock P73 ecu without changing the settings.

true... but just a chance for noobs to see what I mean, so if they hear Power FC again, they'll know what it is.

i think it really depends on your mods...... if you infact had a motor built or blue printed from apex-i, then I'd definately run that Engine Management, but I personally would run our zif socketed p28 ecu so you can custom tune the ecu according to your motor and your mods.
