Default 04 Accord starts hard

I have noticed since the weather has cooled off that my 04 V6 takes a lot of cranking to start after it sets overnight.

I had a remote start installed and it would not start after sitting overnight so I've had them extend the crank time twice and it still won't start when stone cold.

I took it to my dealer to make sure the car was on specs. They told me that it is normal to crank 3-5 seconds to cold start it. They also refered me to the owners manual talking about starting a flooded engine.

I guess I'll have them extend the crank time again. I would think the extra duty of the starter and battery will affect their lifespan.

This is the third V6 accord I've owned but the 1st to start like this.

you're not the only one with ignition issues on the 7th gen v6 accords. from what i have heard, people say that you should place the key into the on position until the green key light goes off and then crank it to a start.

I'll give it a try, but that would defeat the purpose of the remote starter.
