1998 ITR #1085 for sale. Missing bolts from rear motor mount, blood on frame.
F***.
Yeah so I'm in the middle of my ES motor mount install. This guide http://www.hazone.com/hmtrmount.htm has been really helpful.
Front two motor mounts were easy.
I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to find one of the 14mm bolts that holds the rear motor mount bracket to the frame. It's in there somewhere, maybe I can lube it up with blood from my knuckes and wrists, and it'll just fall out. That appears to be my plan.
In the meantime, if I can't find it, there's a free 98 ITR in my garage that any of y'all can have cheap. Just bring me a 6-pack of Miller Lite and we'll call it an even trade.
It's a nice car...

makes installation a piece of cake
which one can't u find? the one towards the front of the car?
Yeah Chris that rear mount is really hard to get to. You can get the 2 lower 14mms from undernieth the car, but the upper one is easier to reach from the top.

Yeah I'm image whoring today.
I got the wobble extension thingy.
I REMOVED them all, but one fell into the depths of never-never land. I think it's wandering around by the brake lines, covered in blood in all likelyhood.

Thanks for the offer Brandon, it's a little cold here. Plus I've seen what happened to your car
You're bad luck!Erik-- I got all three of them from the top, with wobble and extensions. I didn't see how to get them from underneath. The one I lost (somewhere) was the driver side bolt.
Ah well, I'm back at it! Thanks for the kind words all.

ahhh yes the frustrations of instalations
......hang in there, soak your knuckles in some cider (if you know what i mean) and all will be well

Knuckles in cider? I got a pick of my wife giving that bolt the shocker, is that close enough?
Found it finally, caught between the swaybar and frame.
"Almost done"....

Actually, if you pull the motor out it's easy to get the mount out also...
Well i was gonna build my motor this winter anyway so i figured it would be a good idea to do the inserts at the same time as I have also heard the horror stories about the rear mount. But now i discovered i also need 4 new mounts as well as they are not in good shape
Only one I don't need to replace is the upper left, as the Prothane inserts takes care of that one, it's especially the two lower ones in the front that is fucked up, with torn rubber and all. Oh well what's another couple of 100 $$ in parts anyway...
