Default 92 GSR

Hey guys My last post got locked but I think I know why so let me try this again.

What are good springs that will lower my car about 1.5"? I dont want to have to have to buy a camber kit just yet. And do you think a VTEC controller would be a good idea? I read somwhere that it doesn't make sense if you have a stock motor.

My Baby:

Eibach is a quality company. I think a VTEC controller would be a waste of money. Get a VTEC transmission first!!

that sucks. A B18c1 with an LS tranny? get a itr/b16 tranny ASAP or at least a B18c1 tranny.

As for springs i think eibach and h&r sport springs are good for 3rd gens dont know about 2nd gen though

Can't tell from that. There are LS and GSR YS1 transmissions. Honda did a terrible job of coding transmissions...anyway it says LS transmission in the sig.

I bought it with the LS Tranny the guy said he didnt like the GSR tranny because it was to short. The ls tranny is so long. It gives me an excuse to get a ITR tranny with lsd though.

Doesnt matter. The point is a VTECB series engine with an LS tranny is

Since we are on the subject if it is a B18C why does it have a USDM valve cover, or am i seeing things?

I believe that the B18C is the GSR motor code, US spec, and the type R motor code is B18C5. Just my thought. Anyways, can't you buy those things aftermarket?

Edit: Oops, my bad. Didn't read sig. Nice lookin teg tho

B18C1 = USDM GSR 94-01
B18C5 = USDM ITR 97-01
B18C = JDM gsr or itr engine. the only way i can tell the difference is the red valve cover. He says he has a B18C but I dont think it is a jdm itr motor because he has a usdm itr valve cover. I can tell it is usdm because the DOHC letters are big and the VTEC letters are small.

And AGAIN people are missing my point it doesnt matter if it is a gsr or itr motor

Another edit: I see the B18CR in his sig. I guess it is an itr motor with a USDM itr valve cover.

Ground Control springs, and yes a VTEC controller may help you. I think that VTEC controllers help more in NA Integras; ->set the vtec to kick in a bit earlier.
I don't think that it will help in turbo Integras because when the turbo spools and you're in boost, vtec won't help. (Actually, I don't know about VTEC controller in turbo Integras.)

I'm riding on H&R Sport Springs right now in my DA. They're fairly cheap (roughly 150 new), and are good for a daily driver. As for a camber kit, you won't need one. Just make sure to get an alignment after lowering your car. As for the VTEC controller would be a waste IMO now. Tuning the car, and adjusting the VTEC crossover accordingly would be a better idea.

Guys its just a USDM valve cover. It is a JDM ITR B18C. Are you not seeing the B18C stamp? So that proves its JDM..andfor the itr part well I guess you will have to take my word for it. Green paint and all.

Ok thx for the info guys.
