Although it's strictly against the rules, many dealers will also employ shills to make sure the car's going to go high.
If the shill pushes the car higher than the bidders will pay, then the dealer will contact the next highest bidder after the auction closes.
It's a racket.
If you are interested in the car, my advice is to research the dealer for honesty, and research how much is the most you want to pay for the car.
In the last few seconds of the auction, using a <u>low</u> <u>latency</u> broadband connection or AOLNet dial up with Topspeed activated, bid <u>once</u> and bid the maximum amount you'd be willing to pay.
You'll win or you'll lose, and you have to be prepared not to get the car if some moron wants to pay too much, and you have to realise you might get a contact from the dealer if you're the second highest bidder.
