what is the redline on australia 2002 integra R?
As autralia only gets a type S engine, is the redline on those vehicles the same as the US type S spec? 8400rpm or 8000rpm, which is what we have here. Just wondering...
from all the reports i have seen it is a type s with type r stickers and body kit with the S engine (ie 8000rpm redline)
It isn't a type S engine. It is a Type R engine in a different spec (erm, if that is possible..).
The rev Limit is 8400 on mine (New Zealand).
Why? Or crap RON (read: 96) is not good for high revving engines, therefore, drop the upper rev limit, use our gas = happy. Naturally, with a dropped RON level, you loose power. Also, lower rev's = less power and torque map = our @ 205hp...
Now, before you say 96 ron vs 100 ron != 15-20hp drop, consider this, your 100 RON would be 103 in NZ, therefore your 93 RON is what we use as equivelent here...
Pretty sad huh?
