CTR pistons in an b18c5.. question
I have a 2001 type r motor, i have bored out the cylinders a little, and have installed oversized JDM CTR pistons.. I am planning on using a stock headgasket and a stock R head..... Will i be running to much compression??? Has any one done this set up before??
You wont be running too much compression, but make sure you do something for the fueling of that motor. I got a stock setup like that running right now, dynoed 180 to the wheels all stock except for the ctr pistons standard bore.

even something as simple as that, you should consider getting yourself a ECU and dyno time to prevent any possible headaches in the future.

The compressions will be closer to 12.6 to 1. You will most likely need and engine management system to tune back ignition timing or else you will need to adjust your base timing way back if you plan to run pump gas.
