Default anyone paint there h23 valve cover red before (VHT Wrinkle Plus)

I was cleaning my engine and i was looking at my black valve cover and it was looking realy sorry. The paint is chiping and it looks nasty. I was wondering if anyone painted the valve cover red useing VHT Wrinkle Plus paint and has a picture of it.

please post a picture or what you think of the red VHT Wrinkle Plus paint.

I search and found a pic of a black valve cover off a SOHC

What a ****** ricer

I've used the stuff before; it looks great, and wears pretty well. It's just like stock, just red.

Sometimes that **** doesn't spray properly... so you must heat the can up in hot water or keep it under a hot light for 10 minutes.

The wrinkle paint on the heatshield looks pretty cool haha. How well does it hold up to the heat though?

It holds up extremely well. Right now I have the VHT wrinkle red on my h22 cover, i've had the black and blue on a buddies car and it looks awesome and holds up to heat well.

Why not send it to a machine shop and have it polished chrome? It will turn out much better than painting. My buddies shop has H23 polished valve covers for sale and they look great.

well because he wanted to know how the vht wrinkle looked and. u cant have it chromed and polished but not polished to chrome...chrome valve cover = must have for other chrome parts.ie alt, covers, caps, intake, bolts, and any other parts...chrome by itself n nothing else chrome= ugly..machined and sometimes polished alum. is a dfferent story

it hold up fine considering its high heat paint. n it acctually does more than just look nice it helps keep the heat somewhat isolated under the shield...when i felt the shield after a ride it what just a little warm n the bolts holding it where scolding hot
