Is it worth it?
short ram is good buy and cold air is my best choice(live in AZ, not too much water) but anyone can make there own intake. a filter and pipe, grommets, and clamps. It's cheaper

There's no stock intake option because I'm trying to lose weight. My car is fat.

Yah, because everyone knows the majority of a car's weight is the intake

I've got a personal weight reducing mission of mine. It's atleast a 2-3lb weight loss. Could be considered a next to nothing amount but in the big picture it helps.
The question isn't what's the best option(since everyone has their own opinion and purpose for theircar) it's to get an idea of what most people are doin' so I can make my own educated decision.

hey, it'll be swapped out shortly, u just worry about which intake can save u 70-80 lbs....
Edit: Just so I don't seem like a complete jackass, I'm just saying, if you comapare a CAI which is maybe 2 lbs. lighter, that gains high end but loses low end, to a JDM Type-S intake that makes power all the way through the band, I'd go with the Type-S intake.

yeah i wanna do a cold air intake too but dont wanna loose any end
wouldnt K&N panel filter do the same coz its pulling air from the outside too isnt it ? Whats the advantage of K&N over stock ? any gains ?

i like my replica j's racing intake...of course its not made to fit....and i had to move the battery and ac lines.....
but it is definately lighter than all of the other options.....its just a plastic thingy with a filter....not a spec of metal except the clamps....so i would say it saved me 5 lbs......
oh and you jdm type s people....firstly they are not that easy to come by....and secondly..they arent as great as you think....i want one of you people to show me a dyno sheet proving its better.....
youre all out there saying that on the jdm/ tYpE- S hype....
