I'm looking at getting a Nuespeed Strut bar for my '92 Si (H23) and it says at Modacar.com in the description/cost part "92-96 Prelude VTEC" and I was wondering if having a VTEC engine or not really makes a difference on whether or not this strut bar will fit. Could I still bolt it up having an H23 as i do? I searched, but didn't find any posts regarding this particular problem. Thanks

Just because it's vtec doesn't mean you have a v-8 in there. Yeah it will fit perfectly..

 

no way, when you hit VTECH the engine will shake and knock the bolts on the strut bar loose.

that is if you torque the bolts down to 2 in pounds. i guess when you hit vtec the engine shakes and the bolts on the engine come loose and your motor just drops out, huh!

 

maybe i should install an engine damper so that doesn't happen to me cause it would suck if my car fell apart in vtec

 

the vtec one might work on the h23,
but the h23 strut bar won't work on a h22a.

As least mine didn't. the bar barely clears the oil
cap so you can't remove the oil cap because the
bars in the way
