which ecu will work for 00 gsr
ok so from what i know, 00 and 01 gsr's are obd-2b. Now I need an ecu to run my car (not a jumper harness). So 00 and 01 dc2's have immobilizers correct? so it wouldnt work in my car. But if the immobilizer is removed it will work in my car correct? Also, which ecu's will work. Will an 00 or 01 SI ecu work? They dont come with immobilizers from what i understand. Which ecu's can i use? Sorry for the long post but i cant find an answer yet
HONDA-TECH ROCKS!!!

These should work:
99 GS-R ECU
00-01 GSR w/ immobilizer removed
94-95 GSR with OBD1 harness
94-94 LS ECU (as a temp solution only)
I am unsure about:
99-00 civic si ECU
97-99 Type r ECU
99 GS-R ECU
00-01 GSR w/ immobilizer removed
94-95 GSR with OBD1 harness
94-94 LS ECU (as a temp solution only)

if you have stock IM, get a 00-01 gsr ecu w/immobilizer removed or get a 96-99 ecu with obd2b-obd2a harness. if you want to run a R ecu, remove the iab valve from ur IM. i'm using a R ecu, vtec is way more noticeable.

it is only temporary i just need to know if the car will run with it. So a 00 Si will work for sure? Because if it does then i am going to buy it right away

And what most people don't realize is that the Si ecu has the fuel maps for a 1.6L, the 1.8L fuel maps on the GSR ecu's are more otimum.
