Default whats the deal with springs??

ive been told "dont sweat it man base and sh suspension kits are the same thing" and then ive been told "dude u have to get springs that are made for the sh and not the base or else they wont fit" something about how it sits on the perch...

so whats the deal? im checkin out this susp kit on ebay, tokico illuminas and tokico springs "To fit 1992 TO 2001 Honda Prelude all models excluding SH" i know the shocks will fit, but everyone tells me this and that about the springs... im confused

i know if you change both the springs and sturts then it doesnt matter. i believe just doing the springs though it may. PM 98typeSH. he put the eibach prokit on his car with stock shocks and can tell you if it makes a difference or not.

does any body know what the stock spring rates are, checkd my helms didnt seem to find any good info.
