Voltage Stabilizers??? What are they and do they work????

Are they just glorified capacitors??? Do they work?? are they worth the money, approx $65 shipped.

ive seen those things get flamed on ever forum ive ever been on, but some of the people selling them have dyno charts that supposedly prove there is something to gain from these.

i cant confirm either way, but it seems like one of those things like when you change your oil you could swear the car feels faster, even though it isnt....placebo thats the word i was looking for.
