I've got 2 10' kicker comp subs and an older MTX thunder 240 amp pushing them. The amp is putting out maybe 200 watts and they sound great. I put them in a sealed box. The kickers are good so far. I just put them in today and was easy on them.

Little 240's kick ***!!!!!!

I had a 4160 ( 2 240's in one chassis ) 280 and 2160.

Was using JBL GT10's, but went to the beastly JBL 1500 GTi.
The Gti is rated at 4 ohms, but was 2.1 in real world. Ran it bridged off the 2160 (550-600 watts!) till the dust cone got sucked into the voice coil.

Long throw sub in TIGHTLY sealed box SUCK the dust cap right in!

How about 4- 1500 GTI's in a sub wall. Pound pretty good for being such an older sub. Nice and tight too. Actually won best sq at the last sound off I entered. Pretty good when you are running a sub wall with 15 inch subs.....

I running one mtx blue thunder legend 12 in a sealed enclosure off of a thunder 2160 bridged. It won't shake the car next to you, but it's low and load enough to be heard at highway speeds with the windows down.

running a Power Acoustic amplifier with a 10" MTX blue Thunder Legend in my daily driver, sounds nice for a budget set-up.

Ran an MTX Thunder 280 with a Cerwin Vega 10" vega series sub in my minitruck( temporarily taken out ).

Running a Memphis Audio 4 channel amplifier( bridged 3 channels ) to a 10" Memphis studio sub in a ported enclosure, and a pair of components in the front door. All of this is in my CRX. The amplifier is rated for 50x4, and is one of their basic amps( but has built in crossovers, so it still flexible ).

Sub setup is one ADS RS310 powerd by two ADS 2110's. Each of the RS310's voice coils has a 2110 bridged to it.

Way back in the day I ran 2 Kicker 8ohm comp 12s. Everyone laughed at the 8 ohm, but it allowed you to bridge a cheap amp and get consistant clean power. The amp was a Coustic 460 (old silver ones). It would hit so low and hard that the windshield separated from the car. When I first had them in my old accord, it bent the trunk up in the middle. Good ****. My friend had the same basic setup only with the 4 ohms, and I out pounded him easily. He eventually upgraded to 2 solo barics with a V12 amp and it still didn't sound louder to either of us. Unless kicker has fallen off, I'd say you can't beat them for the price.

i took mine out because it weighed to much, but I have 3 12" orion NT DVCs, a MTX 2160, MTX 4200, MTX crossover, and Audiocontrol Epicenter sitting in my garage. I still have my pioneer deck, changer, and 6.5" compnets in my car...
