gas comming out.what the hell help.
ok. this morning i was running out so stop by at chevron and put 6 gall.top it. then drove about 20 miles. so im at work now and i got a call from our recept. over the intercom. she says that theres a white crx leaking gas in the parking lot. im like oh ****. that car is mine. being that im the only one that drives a crx. i go to my car and i see a puddle of gas. " what the ****" open the gas door and its spuwing gas thru it. ucap the gas cap and theres gas filled to the top. for some reason its seeping out . going up and ejecting gas. so i thought damn i wonder if theres air in side my gas thank and its causing it to rise and spill. so my friend decide to start shaking the car. after about a good 5 shakes the excess gas starts to bubble and goes down agian in the drain. anyone have any clue on whats going on..???

they're may have been air in the tank at the station and it shoved it into your tank through the pump.
You released the pressure when you took off the cap and filled up your car, but then when you drove around again you repressurized the system and forced the gas back out the top.

not 100% sure if your motor has (which is the same as mine), but some gas tanks have a breather pipe so pressure can equalize. And because its not the newest motor in the world they can become blocked. Hope this he

has happened to me several times...ruined my 3 month old pang job once. it seems to happen with a full tank, warm weather, car sits in the sun...etc. most of the time my car has been parked on a hill, nose down.
way I fixed it. got a new gas cap. no longer park car nose down. hasn't happened since.
