Default A6 with JRSC or Z6 with JRSC

I'm in process of swapping my D15 for SOHC ZC (identical to d16a6). And I really want to get JRSC

My question is what would be better?

Mini-Me 10:1 CR with JRSC running 6 psi of boost

OR

SOHC ZC stock with JRSC running 6 psi of boost

Thanks

Mini-me. Just keep the JRSC to 6 psi or else intake temps will kill the engine.

If you look at the dyno chatrs on the JR website you'll see the A6 makes more HP. (for some strange reason)

I moved my JRSC from my A6 to a new Y8 and to tell you the truth, I really didn't see much of an increase.

dunno my sohc block codes that well but is the A6 the non vtec version? if so the hp gains would be higher well atleast smoother since its solid power from the start rather than the spike tendancies of vtec....especially when using forced induction application.

seriously, out of the sohc motors i love the zc and 1.5L vtec. The 1.5 vtec runs strong as hell, I think a lot of people are sleeping on them....I could only imagine that thing with a supercharger on it.

I have a '90 CRX D16A6 w/ JRSC and the 8lb pully upgrade. This thing honestly pulls Corvettes in the straights (Road America 2003 and 2004).

My question: can you mount this JRSC on a Y8 on a D16 block? This would result in a JRSC D16Y8. If so I'm all over it!

mini-me+jrsc will blow up unless you have good fuel management.

if you go mini me ull need to spend more money on fuel.
if you go zc ull need to spend less money.

Thanks Everyone

I'll go with stock sohc zc with JRSC. I found out that drivablity doesn't change.

How's the gas mileage on a6 with JRSC (off boost)

Also which one do I get the D16A6 or ZC? I'm using D16A6 intake manifold and other parts, it's only ZC block and head.

Thanks again

I regularly get 27-28 MPG city driving with boost here and there, 10 psi, DSM 450cc, Uberdata, and a basic tune on a 11:1 compression D16A6. It sees a short blast (5 miles) on the highway twice a day as well. Really short gearing with the ZC 1st to 5th and Si 4.25 final drive.

Its all in the tune.
